Nova Scotia Compass is an independent information website about the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. It is owned and operated by ABSOLUTE NUMBERS LLC, a private company based in Santa Rosa, California, United States.

What this website does

We bring together general information about Nova Scotia's regions, attractions, history, food, travel basics and everyday life, written in plain language and organized so that it is easy to use. We also offer a free PDF brochure summarizing that information.

• We don't sell anything on this website. No travel bookings, products or paid services are offered here, and the brochure is free.
• We don't provide official services. We don't process visas, permits, immigration applications or government forms of any kind.
• We are not a government body. We have no connection with the Government of Nova Scotia, the Government of Canada, Tourism Nova Scotia, Parks Canada or the businesses and attractions we mention.

How we prepare content

We base our pages on public sources, favouring governments, national parks, UNESCO, museums and transport operators where possible, and we list key sources on each guide page. Businesses and attractions don't pay to be mentioned. All text and illustrations are original to this site; the illustrations are artwork and do not depict any location exactly.
